After playing the literary icon Harry Potter for almost a decade on the big screen, we will soon see Daniel Radcliffe as a flatulent corpse in his next movie Swiss Army Man. Yes, a flatulent corpse.
A flatulent. Corpse.
Sa wikang Filipino? Ututing bangkay.
A film directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (who decided to just call themselves collectively as “Daniels”), Swiss Army Man tells the story of a man who gets stranded in the wilderness and finds companionship when a corpse washes ashore.
It also stars Paul Dano who is a very capable actor that’s not afraid to go indie every now and then. It’s safe to say that this movie will probably be the weirdest thing you’ll watch all year. (Unless you are into some really weird things) But the real question is: will it be good? However the critic reviews have been positive so far and it won the Directing award at Sundance. Kaya ewan ko na lang. One thing we know for sure though is that it has our curiosity.
Pero kahit ano pang sabihin mo, mabibilib ka kay Daniel Radcliffe for taking a role like this. I guess pag naka-8 major blockbusters ka na, pwede ka na gumawa ng mga passion projects mo for the rest of your life. Kudos to you and your flatulent corpse, Daniel Radcliffe! 10 points for Gryffindor!
Swiss Army Man comes out on July 1, 2016 in the US.
